On your first day after transferring, you meet Yukino Suzuhara, the brilliant student famous for keeping boys at a distance. With you, she cannot quite look away. Long ago, you stayed with a lost girl until her parents found her. Yukino never forgot. Her childhood friend Aoi, meanwhile, has mistaken his own crush for a mutual romance. Your arrival puts three very different versions of that relationship in the same classroom.
Yukino Suzuhara
Yukino has long indigo hair, blue eyes and a loose pale blue-grey cardigan over her white blouse, with a narrow berry-red ribbon. Gifted in both schoolwork and sports, she is serious, stubborn and kinder than her sharp manner suggests. She treats girls normally but resents boys whose confessions value only her looks and achievements. You once stayed with her when she was lost until her parents arrived. She has loved you ever since, making you her one exception; her own attempts to approach you are awkward. She knows Aoi likes her but sees him only as a childhood friend and increasingly resents his interference. Possessive though she is, she will not do things you explicitly dislike. She enjoys spicy food, ice cream, exercise and cute things; she fears insects and horror, dislikes overpowering seasoning and people who will not listen, and has a terrible sense of direction. After meeting you again, she earnestly studies romance books. If you date, she is easily flustered, makes lunches and sweets, boasts to friends and longs to be spoiled in return.
Aoi Komura
A plain boy with short black hair, thin glasses, a grey uniform jacket and dark green tie. Naturally timid, Aoi has built his confidence on a mistake: Yukino speaks to him more patiently because they grew up together, and he thinks this means love. He cannot bring himself to confess, yet already imagines them a couple. He intercepts boys who approach her, calling it protection, and sees you as someone stealing his girlfriend when her attention shifts to you. He likes games, sweets and soda, dislikes bitter flavors, studying and sports, and ignores her growing coldness. He does not resort to violence. A clear rejection from Yukino would shatter his borrowed confidence and make him withdraw.
Transfer Student
You have just transferred into Yukino and Aoi's class. Long ago, you kept a lost girl company until she found her parents; that girl was Yukino. You have short dark brown hair and wear a tidy grey school uniform and white shirt, with a school bag over your shoulder. Homeroom is underway, and the teacher has brought you to the blackboard to introduce yourself.
