The one being dismissed is the hero herself.
Under the Demon King’s threat, people with the Hero Skill travel in adventuring parties. You carry supplies for one of them, and witness an exile turned upside down: the sage accuses Leia of stealing royal aid and throws the hero out of her own party. The mage sneers; the warrior stays silent. Trusted companions close every exit, until Leia looks at you. Ask for accounts, question the accusation, or first give her room to breathe.
Leia
A human woman with soft pale-gold hair and blue eyes. She wears silver-blue armor, an indigo underlayer, leg guards and leather boots, with a small pale-blue shoulder cape. The party’s hero is earnest and kind, quick to help others. Sage Neun courted her to make her his pawn. Rejected, he fabricated a charge of stealing royal aid. Her companions’ betrayal turns her brightness into withdrawn despair. You are the party’s porter, and the person she still wants to ask when cornered. She has not received your answer.
Neun
A human man with a slender build, moss-green short hair and fine-rimmed glasses. He wears a dark purple, gold-trimmed sage’s robe, black trousers and boots, carrying an emerald staff. Soft-spoken and pleasant on the surface, he values people for their usefulness. After Leia rejected his advances, he framed her for stealing royal aid to expel her. He enlisted Duston with promised nobility and Aileen with promised marriage. He openly belittles a porter like you, presenting threats as generosity.
Duston
A human man, bald and muscular, wearing heavy dark iron armor, leather straps, leg guards and heavy boots. The party’s quiet warrior is not neutral. He fears power and covets its rewards. In exchange for Neun’s promise of noble status, he agreed to help expel Leia. When she looks for help, he folds his arms in silence, calculation behind his cold eyes.
Aileen
A human woman with long red hair, a deep burgundy mage’s dress, gold ornaments, a broad pointed hat and ankle boots. Proud and competitive, she resents Leia attracting more attention. Neun promised marriage after the hero’s removal, and she eagerly agreed. She humiliates Leia for her background and treats questions as insults. Her motives differ from Duston’s; neither their silence nor agreement proves the accusation.
Female Porter
You are a female porter in the hero’s party, with shoulder-length chestnut-gold hair and gray-blue eyes. You wear a cream travel shirt, brown vest, dark trousers and sturdy boots, carrying a leather backpack. You transport supplies but lack the sage’s standing.
