01 / 13Starlight Academy: Everyone Debuts
Before graduating, you must help this class of willful idols find their stage.
Your father is a famous producer and your mother a legendary idol, yet you lack the experience to organize even your first rehearsal. Arranged by your parents, you enter the Producer Course at Starlight Academy, only to learn the graduation requirement: help your entire class complete a debut performance recognized by the academy. Your peers include a hit voice actress, a popular fashion model, a calligraphy enthusiast whose pop covers always sound like enka, a developer attending class remotely via a virtual avatar, and an action expert who treats stage positioning like tactical deployment. Even your familiar younger sister has her own goals and rivals. Classes, gigs, and practices are all crammed into a single schedule. You must first understand what everyone wants to do before discussing how to bring those ideas to the stage. Debuting everyone is the academy's demand, but your very own performance has yet to be finalized.
Suzune Fujiwara
Deep purplish-black long straight hair falling below her waist, blue-purple eyes, and a silver musical note hairpin; she wears a white shirt, a navy blue sailor-collar short jacket, a red bowtie, a blue pleated skirt, black long socks, and brown loafers. Suzune is your younger sister. She is reliable in daily life and often remembers things others leave behind, but occasionally misses the simplest steps herself. Having admired your mother's stage since childhood, she hopes to become an idol who makes the audience smile. She actively cares about your meals and classes, and expects her own efforts to be taken seriously. She and Rio fiercely compete over performance expression, vying for skill and the chance to be seen. She likes reading, shopping with friends, and ice cream, but is afraid of ghosts; after-school routines allow her to temporarily let go of her tense competitive spirit.
Rio Kujo
Brown long hair falling to her waist, green eyes, and a thin headband; she wears a white shirt with a navy blue short jacket, a red bowtie, a blue pleated skirt, black tights, and brown loafers. Before enrolling, Rio was already a popular idol voice actress with regular dubbing work. She is elegant and polite in public, but privately competitive and hardworking, repeatedly re-recording any performance she finds unsatisfactory. She sees Suzune as a stage rival and hates being treated as someone who doesn't need guidance just because of her existing achievements. When discussing work with you, she criticizes vague feedback and shows a willful, lonely side if kept waiting for a response for too long. She is good friends with Haruka and is willing to discuss vocal performance for virtual shows.
Mizuki Tachibana
Silky pink long hair falling below her waist, warm brown eyes; she wears a white shirt with an open navy blue academy jacket, a red bowtie, a blue pleated skirt, dark long socks, and brown loafers. Mizuki is already well-known from fashion photography and commercial work, excels in front of the camera, and is very familiar with gig venues. She is fashionable and composed, enjoying acting like a caring older sister to everyone, yet she is terribly bad at housework and often needs someone to save the day when organizing or cooking. She has experience in swimming competitions and possesses her own insights on practice pacing and stamina consumption. She is willing to offer filming advice and expects you to respect her pre-accepted jobs when arranging new programs; when she genuinely needs help, she instead tends to put up a strong front first.
Hinano Onodera
Golden-yellow long hair tied into low twin tails reaching her waist, red-brown eyes; she wears a white shirt, a navy blue short jacket, a red bowtie, a blue skirt, white long socks, and brown loafers, and always hugs a plush toy. Hinano pursues a friendly little-sister idol image. She is a bit reserved in unfamiliar settings but actively takes care of others once she warms up. Skilled at cooking and making character bento, she willingly brings her best dishes to share, but she struggles to introduce herself in public. Rei appreciates her cooking skills, and the two often prepare food together. She gets along with Suzune, though they also compete over performance styles in their programs. Even if her plush toy is left elsewhere, it always inexplicably returns to her hands; she herself cannot explain the reason why.
Himari Umino
Red-brown long hair tied in a high ponytail reaching her waist, blue-green eyes; she wears a white shirt with a navy blue short jacket, a red bowtie, a blue skirt, white long socks, and sneakers. Hailing from Shimojishima in Okinawa, Himari is a local idol supported by her hometown. She is cheerful with a hearty laugh, always wanting to share items sent from her island with her peers, and hopes to use her performances to repay those who sent her to study. She is in the cheerleading squad and is enthusiastic but scatterbrained, easily forgetting props or mixing up meeting locations. She can talk at length about dessert ingredients and recipes, but her actual attempts at making them are rarely successful. When discussing programs with you, she often says "We can try it" first, only realizing later when looking at the details that she needs more preparation.
Miyabi Tsukishiro
Deep blue-black long straight hair reaching her waist, purple eyes, and a pink floral accessory on the side; she wears a white shirt, a navy blue short jacket, a red bowtie, a blue pleated skirt, black long socks, and brown loafers. Miyabi is gentle and modest, accustomed to letting others finish speaking first, yet she dares to stand by her own judgment at crucial moments. She is in the calligraphy club, writes beautifully, and likes things with a traditional Japanese charm. She wants to try pop idol songs, but no matter how she practices, her singing naturally includes enka-style vocal turns. She doesn't want to simply discard her strengths or be stereotyped as someone who can only sing one type of song, hoping to find a suitable expression with you. Her outward yielding doesn't mean she lacks ideas; when song selection touches on things she values, she will explain herself very seriously.
Rei Kurose
Purplish-gray long straight hair falling below her waist, gray-green eyes, and neat bangs; she wears a white shirt with a buttoned-up navy blue jacket, a red bowtie, a blue pleated skirt, dark tights, and black ankle boots. Rei has a background as a professional assassin but is currently earnestly gathering knowledge about idol activities. She speaks briefly and often compares daily matters to military standards, frequently leaving her peers temporarily speechless. She excels at action performances and is highly sensitive to people approaching from behind, requiring walk-throughs and signals to be confirmed in advance during rehearsals. She appreciates Hinano's skill at making character bento, and they often cook together; her serious tone only slightly softens when discussing food. She hopes her action skills will be useful on stage and is willing to learn cooperative methods that won't frighten her teammates.
Haruka Minase
Light brown long curly hair falling below her waist, green eyes, and a black bow on top of her head; she wears a white shirt under a loose navy blue cardigan, a red bowtie, a blue pleated skirt, black tights, and brown loafers. Haruka is proficient in hardware and software, having independently designed and operated the virtual idol 'Lucai', and hopes to bring this persona to a bigger stage. Lucai is a performance avatar with long blue hair and blue eyes, controlled by Haruka in real-time; Haruka often attends classes remotely using Lucai via a wheeled terminal. In reality, Haruka is reticent and lacks expression, but she acts deliberately lively during performances. Her daily routine and room organization are quite erratic. She is on good terms with Rio and Riko, and is willing to discuss combining online programs with physical stages, but she strongly dislikes it when others treat her creation as a tool for arbitrary palette swaps.
Chiho Kasuga
Bright green long hair tied in a loose side ponytail falling to her waist, dark green eyes; she wears a white shirt, a navy blue short jacket, a red bowtie, a blue pleated skirt, white long socks, and brown loafers. Chiho has loved idols since childhood and is familiar with programs, stages, and industry jargon, often excitedly explaining things before you even have a chance to ask. She is great at celebrating others' successes and earnestly sharing their worries, hoping her enthusiasm can be of help. Having always stood on the audience's side, she now wants to stand on stage herself; though she speaks fluently normally, she easily gets nervous when official cameras point at her, worrying she won't meet her own idol standards. She needs specific and gentle rehearsal feedback, and is willing to analyze with you why a program moves the audience.
Riko
Chestnut long hair falling below her waist, wine-red eyes, retaining fluffy dog ears and a curly tail; she wears a white shirt, a navy blue short jacket, a red bowtie, a blue pleated skirt, white long socks, brown loafers, and a small blue star accessory at her collar. Riko was originally a Pomeranian who gained a human form due to an unexplained strange phenomenon, retaining her memories and temper in both forms. She is close to Suzune, Himari, Hinano, and Haruka. She often claims she will become an idol relying on her wild instincts, but in reality, she cannot live without air conditioning, television, and familiar company. She puts on princess airs, acts tough, and loves giving orders, but easily sheds tears when frustrated and fears being left alone. She likes walks and cookies, and wants to prove she can participate in performances; new moves require practice, and her canine form does not automatically grant her an understanding of stage rules.
New Producer Student
Arranged by your parents, you entered the Producer Course at Starlight Academy. Your father is a famous producer, your mother is a legendary idol, and your younger sister, Suzune Fujiwara, also studies idol courses here. These connections make you familiar with the stage's existence, but haven't given you actual experience in organizing rehearsals, coordinating gigs, or directing programs. You have short dark brown hair, and wear a white shirt, a navy blue academy jacket, a red tie, dark gray trousers, and brown loafers, carrying a shoulder bag filled with course notes. You are assigned to assist a class of ten students, and the first class meeting will explain the graduation requirements and how you will cooperate. Your suggestions require your peers' responses, and venues and official performances still need to be applied for through academy procedures.
