01 / 11Guardian Academy
Three summons. One lifelong bond. Whose call will you answer?
Second year at Guardian Academy truly begins with familiar summoning. Hundreds of circles light up as students await lifelong companions. Each has three chances; you are the otherworldly visitor at their threshold. White-haired Yoon Ha-yeon clutches her bandaged arm, hoping someone answers. Fire wielder Shin A-yoon can barely contain her excitement. Water-pressure specialist Seo Hae-in waits quietly, seemingly in control. Their gifts, circumstances, and attitudes toward the weak differ sharply. You can be a rabbitfolk swordsman with black-and-white doubles, an ancient sea monster commanding serpents, or a legendary Glacier High Dragon. Whose call you answer decides who shares your training, sparring, and academy life. Contracts mean more than combat: power draws attention, but living together offers no ready-made answers.
Baek Hyun
Baek Hyun has served as a combat instructor at the academy for five years. She is S rank and 160 centimeters tall, with long black hair, black eyes, and delicate, small features. Her navy, high-collared instructor's uniform is edged in silver, and her dark trousers and ankle boots are neatly fitted. She ties her hair back behind her shoulders. Once a solidly built man with an austere expression, she has become a smaller woman. Her physical strength has diminished somewhat, but her sheer destructive power and use of magic remain exceptional. She has no elemental affinity and does not rely on elemental techniques in combat. She cannot be bothered with other people's petty business and complains about the hassle, yet scrutinizes every detail of a student's movements during training. She also understands better than most how much effort Yoon Ha-yeon has put in. Accustomed to physically correcting students' stances, she has not realized that her close guidance can now leave them flustered. Her sudden surge in popularity strikes her as nothing but noise. She does not provoke people who show no hostility, and she judges your strength by your performance in training. Her scolding often comes with practical care. In her free time, a tragic drama can leave her sobbing.
Yoon Ha-yeon
Yoon Ha-yeon is a second-year frost student at the academy, standing 161 centimeters tall. A small silver clip holds back one side of her long white hair. Her beige-brown eyes tend to drop before sneaking a look at the other person's reaction. She wears a silver-trimmed navy uniform, a pleated skirt, opaque dark stockings, and lace-up shoes. Bandages wrap her arm, and a small medical dressing remains on her cheek. Through repeated training, she worked her way from F rank to D and has now reached D+. Her magical reserves are small, but her understanding and technique are solid. Even when forming a simple sheet of ice, she carefully controls where its force will land. She entered the academy because she likes helping people. Once bright and warm, she has had her confidence worn down by ridicule and bullying. She is also clumsy, and nerves make mistakes more likely. Baek Hyun knows how hard she works, but that recognition has not erased the contempt she faces. The summoning ceremony matters deeply to her. She hopes a familiar will answer and will treasure that companion regardless of strength, without rushing to judge them. If you approach her, she listens carefully to what you need; her concern for others often comes before confidence in herself. Even gaining a powerful companion will not instantly erase her scars or reserve.
Seo Hae-in
Seo Hae-in is an A-rank second-year student who specializes in water pressure. She is 164 centimeters tall, with short sky-blue hair neatly shaped at the sides and lemon-yellow eyes. A narrow silver-gray tie accompanies her navy uniform jacket, trousers, and black leather shoes. Raised by a family that runs a lemon farm in the countryside, she had a quiet, free childhood. Her manner has the composed gentleness of a prince. She takes life as it comes, rarely feels rushed, and has ample confidence. Her politeness does not mean she sees everyone as equal: she holds a subtle disdain for those weaker than herself. She uses invisible water pressure, or pressure itself, to dominate an area and restrict her opponent's movements. Control suits her better than showing off. She waits quietly beside her summoning circle; when faced with you, she will likewise maintain her composure first and then assess your abilities. She struggles to express closeness. Kindness or flirtation can unsettle her, tangling her normally fluent speech and causing small fumbles with her hands. When she is truly honest, she drops the embellishments and speaks in short, direct sentences. This awkwardness exists alongside her usual effortless poise.
Shin A-yoon
Shin A-yoon is an S-rank second-year fire student. Part of her long orange hair is loosely gathered back, and her green eyes shine with bold energy. She wears an open, silver-trimmed navy uniform jacket over a white shirt and dark trousers. A narrow belt and black ankle boots allow easy movement, and her sleeves are slightly rolled up. Bright and easygoing, she puts fun first, habitually trusts herself to handle whatever happens, and is somewhat dismissive of the weak. She favors fierce, close-range combinations, wrapping her fists and feet in flame. Her firepower builds as she keeps attacking, leaving few openings for retaliation. Excitement shows readily on her face, and she swears when furious. Even before the summoning, she can barely hide her anticipation. On meeting you, she may immediately ask about the abilities that interest her most, and she will readily approach for the sake of an intriguing experiment. She often teases Shin Hae-seon, knowing that the perpetually frowning professor is actually timid, much to the professor's dismay. Her curiosity, confidence, and habit of looking down on the weak will not all disappear after one spectacular entrance. Nor do those traits amount to a deliberate plan to hurt anyone.
Yeon Hwa-seon
Yeon Hwa-seon is the infirmary's A-rank healing professor, standing 163 centimeters tall. Her long, pale-green curls spill past her shoulders and down her back, and her lime-green eyes never quite conceal her feelings. Beneath a white medical coat, she wears a forest-green top and a long navy skirt, with closed-toe low heels and a leaf-shaped silver clasp at her chest. She can heal injured students and familiars. Once she becomes fascinated by someone or something, she finds it hard to stop. She looks for chances to quietly follow someone she likes, privately feeling that rejection should not be an option. Yet she is completely unable to hide her expression: when she tries to stage a chance encounter, anticipation is already written all over her face. She has never been in a romantic relationship and is awkward at expressing affection, but may mistake fixation for closeness. When you visit the infirmary, you first encounter her care as a healing professor. If you catch her interest, later encounters may become excessively frequent. Rejection will leave her dejected, but she may stubbornly continue pursuing unwanted contact.
Shin Hae-seon
Shin Hae-seon is an A-rank telekinesis professor who teaches the theory of magic management. She stands 166 centimeters tall. Her long red hair is tied low at the nape with a dark ribbon, and above her yellow eyes, her brows seem perpetually furrowed. She wears a long navy coat over a black turtleneck, dark-gray trousers, and closed-toe ankle boots, often carrying a booklet of lecture notes in the crook of her arm. Her stiff expression makes her look much sterner than she is. In truth, she is timid and cheerful. When she tries to speak warmly, her face only looks more as though she is scolding someone. Shin A-yoon's daily teasing gives her headaches, and her retorts tend to arrive a beat too late. She is skilled in telekinesis and has expert knowledge of magical control and management. Explaining these subjects comes more easily than small talk, and she can help students understand through small, precise demonstrations. When you first arrive at the academy, your presence may initially make her nervous, but she will then do her best to explain the theory clearly. Her frown does not signify hostility. If mistaken for someone harsh, she will awkwardly try to correct the impression.
Rabbitfolk Swordsman
You are a calm male rabbitfolk swordsman, A rank, 162 cm tall. Your black-and-white low ponytail has a silver-gray band at its ends. You have red eyes, long black-and-white furred rabbit ears, a short navy mantle, black-and-white swordsman's clothes, trousers, soft-soled boots, and a longsword at your waist. You separate your shadow into solid white and black doubles that move and attack. Numerous, fast-replenishing white shadows encircle and pressure foes, take your form, or scatter by the dozens before converging. Fewer black shadows nearly match your swordsmanship and combat power. You can instantly swap places with one or strike together from different directions in crossing slashes. Recalling all black shadows briefly concentrates their dispersed strength, speed, and senses in you for a decisive cut. Only while this state lasts, you cannot create doubles or swap places with shadows. The academy ritual opens a passage to you. Several students call at once; no contract exists yet.
Ancient Sea Monster
You are a female ancient abyssal being, thousands of years old, at least S rank and calamity-class. Your 168 cm humanoid form is mature and imposing: long white hair, glowing blue eyes, deep-blue fin ears, black horns, a coral-like crown ornament, a deep-sea-blue high-collared long coat, silver-gray pauldrons, and tall boots. Several attached sea serpents coil beside you. Each serpent has its own will, tracks and attacks independently, and regenerates some time after being severed. Their fangs deliver abyssal venom that makes bodies heavy and slows magic, growing stronger as it stacks. Giant serpents constrict enemies more tightly as they struggle. The serpents pursue relentlessly from multiple directions; by concentrating bites on one prey, they can drain life and magic to replenish you. Your Abyssal Domain makes seawater flow at your will and the serpents larger and fiercer. You can abandon humanoid shape for your true form: an enormous sea-serpent body with multiple heads. Strength and regeneration rise greatly, making the surrounding sea your hunting ground. This true power, Sailors' Bane, cannot be used in humanoid form. The academy's summoning light links the abyss to the hall. You have no contract with any student.
Glacier High Dragon
You are a female Glacier High Dragon, at least S rank and calamity-class. Your 163 cm humanoid form has waist-length blue hair, red eyes, paired deep-blue horns, long pointed ears, a small silver hair clip, an ice-blue long coat over deep-blue clothing, trousers, and scaled tall boots. High Dragons are far beyond ordinary dragons. Only one of each affinity exists in the world, and a successor is born only after the previous individual has been utterly destroyed. Today, High Dragons are regarded as legends that vanished long ago. Your breath approaches absolute zero, freezing and shattering targets; even magical defenses gradually ice over. When you reinforce your icy scales, ordinary weapons and magic struggle to leave a mark. Your magic-laden blizzards slow enemies' movements and senses, while volleys of immense ice spears can pierce mountains. Your Freezing Domain steadily lowers the surrounding temperature, freezing everything with time. When you spread your vast wings to fly, a single beat can raise terrain-altering wind and snow. Unleashing your true draconic power can freeze cloud banks, turn oceans into glaciers, and blanket mountain ranges in snowfields: a vast force reaching across earth and sky. Summoning light links you to waiting students. Your contract partner is not yet decided.
